Blur part of a video before you share it
A good moment is sometimes spoiled by something that should not be public: a name on screen, an address, a chat window, somebody else's logo. In ClipSprint you cover it by drawing a box, without leaving the clip editor.
Get started for free now!How to do it
Load the video and choose the clip
Paste the URL and place the clip on the moment you want.
Select Blur area
Choose the blur tool above the video.
Draw over what should be hidden
Drag on the video to draw a box. Drag the box to move it or its corner to resize it.
Export
The area is blurred for the whole clip in the file you download.
What it is good for
Blurred areas stay in the same place for the whole clip, so they suit things that do not move: a name tag on a desk, a scoreboard, a notification on a shared screen, a licence plate in a fixed shot, a watermark in a corner.
Several areas at once
You can add up to five areas to the same clip. Each one can be moved, resized or removed on its own, and the preview shows the blur on the video as you work.
It works with every shape
The blur is applied to the original picture before the clip is framed, so it stays on the right spot whether you export in vertical, square or wide, with or without zoom.
Only for part of the clip
After exporting, open the clip in the Clip Editor and add a blur from its tools. It stays in the same place in the frame, and you set on the timeline the seconds it covers, for a notification that pops up or a face that crosses the shot.
Questions
Does the blur follow a moving object?
No. The area stays fixed on the picture, so it is meant for things that do not move in the shot. For something that appears briefly, add a blur in the Clip Editor for just those seconds.
Can the blur be removed from the exported clip?
No. The blur is part of the picture in the exported file.
Is blurring available on the Free plan?
No. Blurred areas and zoom are part of the paid plans: Starter, Pro and Max. A clip that already has blurred areas keeps them on any plan.
