Add subtitles to a clip automatically

Most people watch short videos with the sound off. Subtitles keep them watching, and writing them by hand takes longer than making the clip. In ClipSprint they are one click away, on any clip you exported.

How to do it

  1. Export your clip

Make the clip as usual: load the video, place the moment and export it.

  2. Open it in the Clip Editor

Pick the clip in the Clip Editor and choose the subtitles tool.

  3. Make the subtitles

ClipSprint listens to the clip and writes what is said, timed to each word, in the language it detects. It takes a few seconds.

  4. Check, place and save

Correct any word, choose the size and where they sit, and save. The subtitles are drawn into the clip.

Timed to every word

Each line shows while its words are said and goes when they end, so the subtitles never run ahead of the speaker. Lines are kept short enough to fit the clip's shape and break at the natural pauses.

No language to choose

ClipSprint detects the language spoken in the clip, Spanish, English and many more, and writes the subtitles in it. You only check that the words are right.

Place them anywhere

Put them at the top, in the middle or at the bottom with one click, or drag them to any spot of the frame, away from faces and from what matters in the picture.

Styles

Every plan has the classic style: white words with a black outline, readable over any picture. Paid plans add six more: the word being said in colour (alone or on a dark band), karaoke, where the words light up as they are said, pop, where the word being said grows, one word at a time, and a glow of the colour you pick. Capitals are on every plan.

Questions

Do subtitles cost a clip?

No. Subtitles are added in the Clip Editor, and saving there renders the same clip again without using a clip from your month.

What if a word is wrong?

Correct it in the list of lines before saving. Each line keeps its timing, so a corrected word still appears when it is said.

How many times can I transcribe a clip?

Up to three times per clip. Once made, the subtitles can be used again and corrected as often as you like.
